1. Garden plots should be cared for at least once a week. If any plot remains unattended for more than three weeks it
will be subject to reassignment.
2. Each gardener is responsible for cleaning his or her plot and the area adjacent to it. Failure to comply will jeopardize
future gardening privileges.
3. Each gardener will volunteer towards the general maintenance of the site as directed by the Garden Leader.
4. Any refuse collected in the garden area should be deposited in the designated disposal area or taken home for
disposal.
5. The use of water at community garden sites will be controlled as directed by the LEAF Community Gardening
Committee.
6. Theft of garden produce or vandalism will be dealt with at the discretion of the garden site participants.
7. Pesticides must be approved by the Garden Leader and gardeners of neighboring plots prior to application.
8. The application of herbicides (weed killers) to the garden is strictly prohibited.
9. Assignment of garden plots and all other space allocations are the responsibility of the site committee or Garden
Leader. Gardeners are not permitted to make changes in assignments without prior approval of the committee.
10. Plot fees of $25.00 are due in full before the garden season begins.
11. Preference for plot assignments will be based on seniority and good standing. Remaining plots will be assigned on
a first-come, first-served basis after membership fees are paid.
12. Parking will be in designated areas only.
13. The last person out of the garden must lock or latch the gate (if applicable).
14. Keep tool bins locked and return all tools.
15. Children are welcomed to the garden but must be accompanied by an adult and must be supervised at all times.
16. It is your responsibility to manage the layout and design of your garden, ensuring proper space allocations for
composting, pathways, tool storage and other common uses
